Kenya Kwanza leader and presidential candidate William Ruto, today, 14th August 2022 attending a church service at Karen residence, Nairobi County.
Deputy President Ruto took to his verified facebook account to quote a bible verse, urging Kenyans to remain vigilant and Calm. This comes after fracas has been witnessed at the national tallying centre, Bomas of Kenya.
As anticipation is the order of the day, leaders are urging kenyans to be patient in awaiting the eagerly awaited results.
Deputy president Ruto also urged Kenyans to remain in prayer and be grateful in everything they do
He said, “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4: 4-7.”
In attendance the deputy president’s wife, Rachel Ruto also made a prayer regarding the elections.
She spoke in parables, pleading to God to give them a win , she said that let nobody kill their win that was declared by Kenyans on election day.
She said, “We are praying that someone will not sleep on our baby and kill him. And let there be no exchange in jesus name”
She further stated that they are waiting for their baby( presidential win) to be discharged from the hospital( announcement by Wafula Chebukati of the independent electoral and boundaries commission).
She further urged Kenyans to pray for their baby( presidential win) to be delivered safely as they anticipated.
“Our baby was born on August 9, but he has not been discharged from the hospital. Let us pray that the baby will be discharged safely to us.” Rachel stated.
The Kenya kwanza allies expressed their optimism as they await for the presidential election to be announced in their favour.
