Let them Keep defecting states Ledama Olekina. This is after a United Democratic movement member defected to Kenya kwanza.
The senator elect, Narok county took to his twitter account to state that anyone who wants to defect from Azimio la Umoja is free to do so.
Senator Ledama who is also a great Azimio la Umoja ally stated that the more people defect, the more seats to choose from.
He stated that the move by their member to defect to other parties especially the Kenya kwanza coalition was an added advantage.
He said,”What they don’t know is that …we will enjoy more committees… we will have more to choose from and more to serve…while they scramble for the few with their new comrades…essentially not serving their constituents…let them keep defecting…”
The United Democratic movement principal, Ali Roba defecting from Azimio la Umoja has raised a lot of controversial messages.
Ali Roba stated that ,no political affiliation can coerce anyone into being loyal to them.
He went ahead to state that , his party , United Democratic movement was not involved in any Azimio La Umoja’s critical meetings.
He further revealed that he was never involved in any decision making by the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
He said,”Long standing unresolved issues plus gate keepers feeling threatened by the presence of partners which spilt over into elections. You can’t coerce people into loyalty. The engagement was replaced with chest-thumping.”
Ali Roba who is the Mandera county senator elect was welcomed by the president elect William Ruto with open arms.
President elect, William Ruto further stated that he is happy the United Democratic movement party is back home.
Kenya kwanza leader, William Ruto went ahead to reveal that he was the one who founded the United Democratic movement party.
His decision was driven by the kind of harassment he was facing in KANU.
He stated,”I am actually the founder of UDM. We formed this UDM party with Kipruto Kirwa, Cyrus Jirongo and Alfred Sambu in 1998. This was when we were harassed out of KANU.”
