DCI launched manhunt for father and son. The two are being accused of fraud with a total of Ksh. 60 Million.
According to directorate of criminal investigation( DCI), the detectives in the land fraud have launched manhunt for father and son.
The report stated,” WANTED. Detectives based at the land fraud investigations unit are looking for one Ali Noor Abdi, who is wanted for conspiracy to defraud contrary to section 317 of the penal code.”
The directorate of criminal investigation stated that the two had already been arraigned in court but they did not heed to the subsequent summons from the authorities.
The duo, as stated by the directorate of criminal investigations, conspired to defraud the African Banking corporation limited.
The DCI stated,” The duo had on diverse dates between July 1, 2014 and April 7 2020, conspired to defraud the African Banking Corporation Limited(ABC) Nairobi, Ksh. 60 Million.
The Directorate of criminal investigations revealed that Abdi, forged documents to strike a deal with the African Banking Corporation. Later is when the corporation realized the documents are forged.
The constitution of Kenya 2010 mandates that anyone who forges or duplicates documents will be found guilty of a felony , not unless otherwise. The person will face three years imprisonment ,if not granted a fine.
Due to their disappearance, the Milimani chief magistrate has issued an arrest warrant for the duo.
The DCI of criminal investigation are asking anyone with information about the two, to report it to the Directorate of criminal investigations.
DCI stated,” A warrant of arrest has since been issued by the Magistrate’s court. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is invited to volunteer it through the FichuakwaDCI toll free number 0800, 722 203 or the nearest police station for action.”
DCI stated,”Abdi, who is at large is also wanted for forgery of a document, contrary to section 345 as read with section 349 of the penal code.”
