Mureithi stated,”I’m saying while here at Musyoka’s home today. Because Musyoka couldn’t take bribes from anyone, he wasn’t bias in his job. Those who murdered him if not arrested, I will from next week lead demonstrations in Nairobi to send someone home.”
The funeral was held Muuani village, Mwala, Machakos County. Still addressing the mourners in eastern Kenya, Mureithi urged the mourners to use their traditional means to shed light on the untimely death on Daniel Musyoka.
Mureithi said,”Na hata nyinyi wakamba mnakuanga na haki. Si mnakuanga na haki? Si mnakuanga na njia yenu ya kufanya haki? Si kuna kile mnaitanga kathithu? Si mganganishe chini? si mimi niko hapa?”
Mureithi also revealed that Daniel Musyoka was a ver straightforward man and a man who respected his job.
Mureithi said,” “I want to confirm here, Musyoka, just the way church has said here, was straight forward. Since I became a candidate, we have never met. He used to call me on phone, Mureithi if you aren’t coming to the office, send someone. And if I send, he used to serve me accordingly.”
Mureithi further grieved that no one should die because of politics and he will ensure justice is served.
He said,”You can work anywhere knowing that you will do the job and go home alive. There is nobody who should die because of politics.”
