Deputy president Gachagua meets Raila Odinga for the first time after the general election.
The meeting happened in Mombasa. In a statement by the deputy president, he confirmed that indeed he met with the Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga.
Gachagua said,”We have tremendous respect for our senior citizens. I was delighted this morning to have a tete a tete with our senior citizen former Prime Minister Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga in Mombasa.”

However, the details of the meeting have not been confirmed yet.
The meeting happened after Raila landed in Kenya, Azimio la Umoja leader explained that he had to take time to cool off from the shock he got.
He further explained that he was not able to attend Abdulswamad’s inauguration becauses he jetted in late.
He said,”I came in this morning from Zanzibar and arrived late than expected. I was not able to be with you at the swearing-in (of Abdulswamad), but here I am.”
Raila added that he will not allow the judiciary to control the decision of the people. He further said that Kenyans will stop voting if a foreigner, Jose Camargo decided who the president of Kenya will be.
He said, “We will also not allow the Judiciary to become a dictator in this country. We can lead a one million march to the judiciary and tell them to go home. We have a right as a people to not agree with bad rulings. Shame on the judiciary of this country. We will talk.”
