Kalonzo’s response to Ruto over government jobs.
Wiper party leader, Kalonzo’s response to Ruto is that he is not interested in state employment.
Kalonzo who is also an Azimio la Umoja ally, denied the insinuations that the coalition was after the state jobs under president Ruto.
Kalonzo said that the Azimio la Umoja coalition is ready to be the opposition by providing oversight over the new government as the constitution denands.
Kalonzo also said they will ensure that the new government delivers the promises they made to Kenyans during the campaign period.
Kalonzo said,”We are not interested in State jobs whatsoever. We have a lot of work to do as we have demonstrated, of keeping the Government in check.”
The wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka also said that the 3 billion budget for the judiciary will not work. He went ahead to explain that the move was a coercion scheme to keep the judiciary away from the government’s business.
Kalonzo said,” The financial and operational autonomy of the Judiciary will not be guaranteed through tokenism.”
He added, “Ruto should tame his appetite for throwing money at institutions to buy friendship. Keep off Judiciary and let Parliament do its work.”

However, his statements were suported by the president who ruled out a possibility of a handshake to let the opposition do their work.
Ruto said,”Azimio members should play their oversight role. We want an Opposition that will hold us accountable. We have nothing to hide.”
The Azimio la Umoja coalition further stated that the government is trying to sack the four commissioners( Juliane Cherera, Irene Masit, Justus Nyang’aya, Francis Wanderi) who disagreed with the chair.
This is after Aden duale stated that they can not walk freely after trying to put into chaos.
Aden said,”Consequently, the four commissioners should be held accountable both individually and collectively. They cannot turn on and off like a switch and expect us to just forget everything. They must face the music.”
