Overwhelmed Hellen Wendy’s parents land with the body at JKIA.
Overwhelmed Hellen Wendy’s parents finally bring the body home.
After their landing, the parents narrated that during their visit to the swimming pool, the owners of the swimming pool, refused to take ownership of the death of the daughter.
The owners explained that the swimming pool was an unsupervised area therefore, they can not take ownership.
Hellen’s mother said,”We visited the pool where Wendy drowned and we saw a warning stating that the pool is unsupervised. If you drown in the pool it is upon yourself and as such, the management of the pool cannot own the blame- which I found wrong.”
The parents further lamented that its been a tiresome process to ferry the body back to Kenya.
Acquiring a visa was difficult for them but at long last they are ready to farewell their daughter.
Hellen’s father said,”The government was not actively involved in the plans since Wendy was in Canada for personal reasons. Securing visas was difficult as we had to undergo vetting, but we are grateful that at last, we were able to travel to Canada.”
The parents expressed their gratitude to everyone, both in Canada and Kenyan, who has been supportive throughout the burial preparations.
Hellen will be buried at their home on Monday october 3rd.
