President Ruto’s promises to Homabay residents.
Today, the president of Kenya visited Homabay county while attending a church service at AIC.
However, the governor, Gladys Wanga was unable to attend because she is out of the county, for official business.

President Ruto’s promises to Homabay county residents include affordable housing in the county.
The president that he will launch a project of building 5000 homes that will be affordable to the residents.
The president said,”I will be back next month to lay the foundation stone for the first 400 houses and early next year, I will launch the second phase for the construction of 2,000 homes.”
The president added that this will be a great opportunity to the Homabay youth since they will get job opportunities.
The president said,”Homa Bay Town has no technical training college, neither is there one in Suba South. I will speak to the leaders so that they set land aside for the construction of collages so that youths can earn from the project.”
The president also promised he will commission the building and renovation of roads in the county.
President Ruto said,”I am aware that some of the road projects have stalled in the county. I am asking that you allow me some time to first deal with the budget and the economy then I will come and finish the project.”
The president also talked of the water and sanitation in the county, he promised to coordinate with the town Member of parlient, Peter Kaluma to build a reliable water and sewarage system.
Eliud Owalo thanked the president for promoting democracy regardless of political afiliations.
Owalo said,”want to thank President William Ruto for changing the political discourse in this country, from politics which is based around rhetoric, tribes and individuals, to politics which is anchored on issues touching on the common mwananchi.”
