Education Cabinet secretary nominee, Machogu blames students’indiscipline on lack of father figures.
He stated that lack of role models and mentor especially from fathers has made most students go rogue.
He stated,”The father figure is so important and critical in the family. Unfortunately, in some setups, there is negligence, abscondment, and absence, and the boy child does not have anyone to mentor him or a role model. These are some of the factors leading to indiscipline.”
He cited that training up a disciplined child requires efforts both from home and school. If they are no fathers to streamline this kids they become rogue.
Machogu stated,”Some of these things require joined effort from the school and the parents.”
This he was answering in reference to the question he was asked on the rampant burning of schools.
Echoeing his words, was the outgoing Education cabinet secretary , Goerge Magoha, where he told parents to control their kids.
Magoha said,”If you are mad, why don’t you start by burning the house of your father? We don’t play such games.”
