I’m willing to take a low paying job.
Cabinet nominee Wanjau, responded to Ichungwah that I’m willing to take a low paying job.
Wanjau who was being vetted before National Assembly legislator on Saturday said she takes it as a challenge and an opportunity to grow and work in a different arena.
She said,”I have been in public service for all these years and this indeed represents a growth opportunity for me over the years and given the kind of investments that we have made as a family, I’m able to make adjustments in order to take this role.”
She was responding to this, in reference to a question she was asked on whether she is willing to take a pay cut.
Currently, Wanjau is earning approximately Sh1.5 million while the Cabinet secretaries will be earning Sh924,000.
