We want the police to be professional- President Ruto on police in the political arena.
Speaking at state house while addressing Regional Police Commanders, the head of stated, noted that the police must stick to their theme, “ service to all”
He stated,”We want the police to be professional, independent and accountable while protecting Kenyans.”
During his after- oath speech, president Ruto accorded the police autonomy in their finances, he further promised them digital equipments to execute their functions.
With the increased crime rate in Nairobi county,the cabinet approved units from General service unit( GSU) and RDA to deal with criminal.
The statement said,”Following the reorganisation of Nairobi County Security command, there are the deployment of additional specialised police units drawn from the General Service Unit and the Rapid Deployment Unit.”
CS Kindiki also stated that he is committed to eradicating banditry in North rift.
Kindiki stated,”The government is deploying multifaceted, multifront and multiagency response to the challenge and the problem of banditry.”
