The insecurity in the country does not add up- Mutahi.
Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, has claimed that the chaos witnessed in Eldoret CBD on Thursday was a planned move.
Mutahi further warned President Ruto to be cautious on the kind of enemies he has.
Mutahi stated,”The insecurity in the country does not add up. Eldoret riots of yesterday smack of sabotage.”
“They are not spontaneous. Effective leaders go by only one rule:”…only the paranoid survive…” You must sleep with one eye open. You have enemies my friend.”
On thursday, a riot followed by teargases was witnessed in Eldoret’s central business district.
With the confusion, groups of people stormed Into Eldomatt supermarket and looted away goods including food stuffs and electronics.
The chaos happened after Authorities popularly known as ‘Kanjo’ tried to seize goods from traders, hawking in unauthorized areas within town.
The traders teamed up with street kids to fight the authorities.The county askaris have been accused before, of harassing innocent traders frequently.
Top police officers in the region said the matter is being handled by the county government.
