Your work is to stick to the delivery of services- Kindiki warns officers engaging in politics.
Interior cabinet secretary, Kithure Kindiki has issued a warning to all government officials engaging in politics.
He stated that they should stick to what they are supposed to do because no political task will be accorded to any of them be it the chiefs, county or regional commissioners.
Kindiki stated,”We will not expect NGAOs to participate in extraneous activities. Including politics. The policy of this government is to create a professional NGAOs organ to serve the country impartially, equally, and in accordance with the law.”
“Your work is to stick to the delivery of services and to make sure that you don’t veer off from your mandate. Our work is to provide services to the people of Kenya irrespective of their ethnicity, political affiliation, religion, or any other connection,” he added.
Additionally, Kindiki has promised that early next year, every assistant county commissioner, will be provided with a vehicle, that will help them move around while in service delivery.
Kindiki said,”We want to retain about 200 cars and acquire an equal number in the shortest time possible. And therefore, we want to ensure that within the next three months, every ACC will be provided with transport so that they can be able to deliver services to the people of Kenya.”
Hon. Kindiki also urged the Government officials to deliver to the school candidates during the examinations period.
He stated,”This national exercise is continuing and I want to ask security agencies to be vigilant and cooperate with the Ministry of Education to ensure that we deliver successful examinations.”
