We have mobilised enough security- President Ruto on Raila’s Kamukunji rally.
The head of stated has highlighted that enough security has been deployed to ensure there’s no hick up tomorrow, even as students continue with their papers.
Speaking this morning at the Joseph Kang’ethe Primary School in Kibra, The president assured that students’ security is the major concern in this period.
He stated,”We have mobilised enough security to ensure that the exams go as planned because this is a very important moment for our nation.”
“Each examination centre will have officers to ensure that there are no incidences, distraction, disruption and that students have an opportunity to have their examination in a tranquil environment,” He added.
He further stated that the transition of grade six learners will be addressed and parents have no need to worry, the decision will be rolled out as soon as possible.
He stated,”Shortly we will be agreeing on how to transit into the next level. A decision is going to be made in the short term so that you will know the fate of those in Grade Six and Seven.”
Deployment of security comes days after Azimio la Umoja leader, threatened to hold countrywide demonstrations in a bid to stop the removal of IEBC four.
The president responded saying that an opposition that demonstrates and enhances street fights, is a sign of dictatorship.
He stated,”Street demonstrations and street fights are elements of a dictatorial opposition. No one is going to threaten and blackmail me to do what they want. I will do what Kenyans want.”
