No one has the power to break, overlook or override the law- Ahmed Nassir tells off Sakaja for overlooking Noisy churches.
Lawyer Ahmed Nassir has called on Nairobi governor, Johnson Sakaja for being biased in the making some executions.
Ahmed stated that the governor should have also closed churches in residential areas that are noisy just as he did with the clubs.
Nassir stated,”No one has the power to break, overlook or override the law. That is why My governor @SakajaJohnson is breaking the law in saying he will not enforce the law on noise pollution against churches.”
“If we obey the law we will not disagree. Obeying, enforcing the law is not discretionary,”added.
This comes after Nairobi residents complained that the governor should have also closed churches that cause noise pollution even at night.
Sakaja stated,”I will not close the churches. We want them to spread the gospel of obeying rules and regulations. I will initiate talks with them because we must be reasonable and accommodate each other in the city.”
He further stated that he has closed the talks of opening clubs and that Kenyans should move on.
He said,”I will not go back on the abolition of bars and restaurants from residences. We have closed that chapter. Let us move on.”
“Those saying people will lose jobs are seeking sympathy. It is the right thing to do although it is unpopular,” he added.
