I therefore call upon every Kenyan to shun his attempts to cause disunity- Muthama against Raila’s demonstration.
United democratic alliance chairman, Johnson Muthama has urged Kenyans to desist from entertaining Raila’s underway plans of a street demonstration.
In a statement, Muthama urged Raila that it’s hight time he reconciles himself with the reality of things because Kenyans have moved past the general elections.
He stated,”Kenyans have moved on and are working hard to build the nation in peace. The Mass Action Raila has called for on December 7, 12 is a clear indication that he has failed to reconcile himself with the reality of the times we are living in, where every effort must be directed towards uplifting the lives of those who occupy the bottom of the economic pyramid.”
“ I therefore call upon every Kenyan to shun his attempts to cause disunity in this Country,” he added.
However, Muthama’s sentiments were met with defensive replies from Raila’s supporters.
Wilfred Matamano wrote,”You can’t lecture baba we follow what he says cause he knows ,Rutos gvmt has captured the judiciary and the national assembly too , therefore the only remaining solution is we the common mwananchi step up and go to streets to defend this nation from impunity.”
Brezar Sammy wrote,”The constitution of kenya does not anywhere put a political or a coalition in neither govt or opposition. It describes majority and minority. And head of govt as president. So Raila is just a kenyan who wants to exercise his right as put in constitution the right to demonstrate.”
Raila’s efforts to hold an anti- government rally has been met with a lot of opposition from the ruling government.
The president yesterday attacked,”Even with the system/deep state you LOST the election.STOP deluding yourself & LYING.The coup to OVERTURN the PEOPLE’S will using rogue commissioners, you are now threatening us with maandamano about,FAILED.Their guilt or innocence will be determined by TRIBUNAL.RULE of LAW it is.”
