Former commissioner general of prisons, Osuga dies.
Former commissioner general of prisons, Isaya Osuga dies. He died while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital, on Monday night.
He was in the Intensive Care Unit( ICU) for days, however, his illness was not disclosed to the public.
Isaya served the prisons from 2008 to 2019 , where he retired. He was appointed by the late president, Mwai Kibaki after the prisoners raised issued of poor conditions in the prisons.
Before joining the prisons, he served in various posts at the police department.
He was the Nairobi Central Divisional CID chief before he was promoted and transferred to Provincial CID chief in Eastern province, back to Nairobi again , before joining the prisons.
