Going after Mama Ngina is touching a live wire- Wanjigi.
Politician Jimmy Wanjigi has warned president William Ruto against going after Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
In his speech he questioned on why, the head of state wants to drag his business with Uhuru Kenyatta, to his whole family,
He opinioned that the president should leave the Kenyatta family alone or dire consequences will befall him.
Jimmy further questioned on the safety of the Kenyan land, if the president wants to take away what the Kenyattas fought for, during independence.
He stated,”Going after Mama Ngina and the late Jomo Kenyatta you are now touching a live wire.Because if you are trying to take away Mzee Jomo’s property, it means our properties is not even safe.”
“Former President Jomo Kenyatta is no longer with us and he should not be dragged in this tax debate. I know you have a problem with Uhuru and you should face him directly instead of going after the whole family,” he added.
Wanjigi urged the president to have a sit down with the former president, Uhuru Kenyatta and iron out their issues instead of dragging in the old mama Ngina.
He stated,”You should sit down with Uhuru and iron out any differences you have instead of harassing the former First Lady.”
This comes after the head of state, revealed that the Kenyatta family has been exempted from paying tax, for the longest time possible
Mama Ngina gave the government a go ahead to check all her tax returns. If any breach is found, then they should repossess her properties.
She stated,”Every employed Kenyan is mandated by law to pay income tax, so there is no need to malign someone so that you can appear to be doing something. If I am found to have breached the law, let the government repossess my property to recoup taxes owed.”
