TSC responds to mass transfer of principals in Kisii county, this comes after high schools in the region performed exemplary in the KCSE examinations.
This comes after there were speculations of irregularities in the county with the gusii schools leading the national examinations
The commission explained that the transfers are aimed at promoting transparency and equitability in the education system.
For instance, Cardinal Otunga’s principal was transferred to St Peter’s Mumias Boys High School, Kakamega County after the school scored a mean of 10. 26; he was replaced by Albert Ombiro, who initially headed St Paul’s Gekano Boys.
Igonga DOK Secondary school’s principal who propelled the school to a mean of 10.24, was transferred to Bishop Mugendi Nyakegogi High School.
Bishop Mugendi’s new principal commented,”Despite moving from a pure boys’ boarding school, I am confident that I will give my best to ensure there is an improved performance in the national exams. We will try our best to improve the scores of Nyakegogi.”
