Sisi si watu wa kuuziwa uoga– Ruto slams door at Raila’s threats
Yesterday at the Azimio national prayers day, the opposition leader, Raila Odinga threatened to lead a mass action in the next 14 days, if the cost of living does not go down.
He additionally ordered the head of state, to reinstate the subsidies since the country is facing the worst drought in history.
However, speaking during the launch of the Nairobi River Commission at Korogocho in Nairobi, the head of state highlighted that the opposition leader will not air grievances by intimidating the government.
The head of state said,” I want to tell our brothers, relax, na wasituuzie uoga, sisi si watu wa kuuziwa uoga. Kila Mkenya ako na haki katika taifa letu la Kenya na malengo yetu ni kuhakikisha Kenya inaenda mbele.”
“Hao majamaa watulize boli. Ati wanataka kututisha na maandamano, watafanya maandamano mpaka watachoka,” he added
President William Ruto added that he will ensure everyone obeys the law as stipulated in the constitution.
He stated,”As the President, I am going to make sure we avoid and banish impunity; there is nobody who is going to threaten Kenya with impunity. Everybody must respect the law and this country will be governed by the rule of law.”
“Kenya is going to be a country run on the basis of the rule of law and the Constitution and all citizens have an equal opportunity and no citizen is greater than another,” he added.
He additionally reminded the opposition leader, Raila Odinga that he was part of the government when the economy was skyrocketing.
He stated,”Nataka niwaambie wale majamaa, mlikuwa na miaka tano ya handshake na mambo yenu, bei ya unga ikafika Ksh.230 saa hii tumeteremsha imefika Ksh.180. Watupatie nafasi itafika Ksh.140 alafu Ksh. 120…wawache kimbelembele, walikuwa na nafasi yao wakaharibu.”
