Changes in the government as Ruto fires more Uhuru appointees.
In a gazette notice, more changes in the government have been made; The head of state Chose the former lawmaker Sylvanus Maritim who lost to Benjamin Lang’at during the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominations of April 2022.
Sylvanus will serve as non-executive chairperson of the Information and Communications Technology Authority for three years.
He replaced Prof Fredrick Owino who was appointed as the non-executive chairman of the Information and Communications Technology Authority by the former head of state, Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ugas Mohamed was appointed to the capital market authority where he replaced Nick Nesbitt as the board chairperson.
Ugas will work with Natasha Awuor Aduwo, Elena Natalia Pellegrini, Meshack Moses Kiprono, Gibson Kimani Maina and Michael Bowen as the board members.
The revoked board members including; John Kipkosgei Birech, Freshia Mugo Waweru, Mark Bichachi, Eli Kamau and Peter Mungai will now go home.
Muyumba Indimuli was appointed as secretary of state corporations advisory committee where he replaced Wanjiku Wakogi whose three-year contract was revoked.
Also , Wanjiku Wakogi was appointed to be a member of the technical committee that are overseeing the establishment of the national lottery.
Reverend James Bassy was appointed as the chairperson of Talai council of elders.
Additionally,The former Myoot Council of Elders chairperson, John Seii was also appointed as a member of the Board of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council, for the next two years, starting on February 24, 2023.
