Embakasi east member of parliament, Babu Owino has threatened to lead demonstration if the university fees shoots, and helb was also revoked.
This comes days after the education reforms taskforce recommended increase of tertiary education fees from 16k to 52k in order to offset the debt owed by public universities.
Babu Owino mobilised students across the country, to come out and say no to the increase of university fees.
His sentiments were expressed at Saturday in Vihiga county at Esiandumba grounds during the homecoming party of Luanda MP Dick Maungu, babu maintained that the government is focused on the wrong things.
He also spoke on the skyrocketed cost of living saying other countries with the same situation like drought and famine are doing more than praying.
He stated,”Kenya iko na upuzi, we can’t be praying for rains on Valentine’s Day, when a country in a desert is producing millions of turns of wheat for export.”
