On his part, President Ruto expressed how proud he is that the gender rule in the constitution is being achieved.
He added that his administration will ensure inclusion of women in every aspect of the country including political representation.
He highlighted that he is dedicated to ensure that all the barriers blocking women from attaining their full potential are removed.
He stated,”This is the reason why I have engaged parliamentary leadership in the spirit of bipartisan patriotic collective action to explore a viable constitutional path to promote equality and inclusion in political representation.”
“We also commit to removing systemic barriers and staying the course towards equity for all in Kenya confident that the full participation of women can help us realise the missing half of our country’s national product. Happy Women’s Day,” he added.
