According to the DCI , sleuths were sent to DJ Faxto’s house, to go and collect evidence since Jeff was last seen at the place.
The DCI highlighted that they were able to interrogate Lawrence Njuguna alias DJ Fatxo, who was in the company of other individuals.
DCI wrote,”HOMICIDE SLEUTHS TAKE OVER JEFF MWATHI’S CASE. Detectives from the Homicide department based at DCI Headquarters, have this morning taken over investigations into the death of 23-year-old Jeff Mwathi, from Kasarani police station.”
They revealed that the director of DCI, Amin has stated that the sleuth should expedite on the matter and bring to the public on what exactly happened to the young man.
They have assured the public that no stone will be left unturned, until the murder details of Jeff are unknown.
They wrote,” This follows a directive by the Director of Criminal Investigations Mr Mohamed Amin, for the expeditious investigation into the death of the young man.
“The public is assured that no stone shall be left unturned in the investigation of this case and any person found to have been involved in the death shall face the full force of the law,” they added.
The DCI has called on any individual with details that will useful in handling the case, to report to the DCI.
They stated,”Meanwhile, anyone with information that may assist us in this case is asked to volunteer it to the head of Homicide at DCI headquarters or call our toll free number; 0800 722 203.
