New details emerge in Jeff Mwathi’s homicide case after the DCI visit.
Yesterday, The directorate of criminal investigations, officers visited the place that Jeff Mwathi’s body was found that is DJ Faxto’s residence.
The visited the DJ’s house and also recreated the scene on the ground floor where the body of the interior designer( Jeff Mwathi) was found, trousers worn halfway.
New details emerge in the case that; the police ascertained that the window where Mwathi is believed to have jumped from , had grills making it impossible for any adult to jump through.
The sleuths are now considering that if indeed Jeff Mwathi jumped then it would have been from the roof top.
The CCTV footage, recorded a body flying but didn’t exactly record where exactly the body came from, because of a blind spot.
The detectives however, showed their determination to ensure that justice is served in this mysterious case.
Interior cabinet secretary, Kithure Kindiki stated that he spoke with director Amin to handle the case. The Director of Criminal Investigations Mr Mohamed Amin ordered for the expeditious investigation into the death of the young man’s death.
Kindiki stated,”On the matter of the late Jeff Mwathi, I have spoken to the DCI Amin this morning and instructed him to send a homicide team from the DCI headquarters to take the necessary action.”
“I thank the DCI for his quick action on this matter. The homicide team from the DCI headquarters is dispassionate, which will help resolve the claims of collusion at Kasarani Police Station where the matter was reported,” he added.
