Lopha sacco clarifies the throwing off of a passenger from a bus, this comes after a video trended of a conductor flying a passenger out at the Ruiru bypass.
Speaking to the media, an official from Lopha refuted claims that someone was pushed out, he stated that an argument broke out between the driver and conductor of the bus which led to a fight between the two.
Apparently, the bus was en route to the Central Business District (CBD) stage on Sunday morning, March 12, before the disagreement between the two.
In the angered moment, the driver parked the bus and confronted his conductor. According to the official, the fight was over cash that had been collected.
He stated,”At Ruiru bypass, they began to fight, which attracted a crowd and the driver reigned blows on the conductor. He is now fine after he was rushed to hospital.”
This video has angered many, with others pointing out the rogue nature of personnel of the matatus.
Others also called out on Kenyans who are quick to record an incident, before checking if someone who is injured is okay.
One tweep wrote,”Matatu sector needs thorough reforms and monopoly be contained by introducing government facilitated public transportation modes, trams, bus rapid transport system, metro etc.”
“Everyone is recording on phone, this guy is losing a lot of blood, what’s up with Kenyans? There are many hospitals around the bypass and it was the best place to rush him,” another tweep wrote.
