Names of bigwigs who missed on Ruto’s CAS nominations.
Today, the president, William Ruto released the CAS nominees. However, names of bigwigs who missed out from the list has raised eyebrows.
Among them is the former Kisii county governor, James Ongwae and United democratic alliance Secretary General, Cleophas Malala.
Others include; Former Soy Member of Parliament and a close ally of President Ruto, Caleb Kositany and former KTN News anchor Lindah Ogutu,Purity Ngirici who lost to Anne Waiguru in Kirinyaga County gubernatorial seat.
The Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) Chairperson Indimuli Kahi and former Jubilee nominated MP Gideon Keter also missed out.
Separately; Popular names that appeared on the shortlist include;former K24 anchor Mwanaisha Chidzuga and former KBC journalist Boniface Musambi, Former Harambee Stars player McDonald Mariga, Ali Mbogo, former Lamu Senator Anuar Loitiptip and former Wajir Deputy Governor Ahmed Ali Muktar.
Known Ruto allies that were on the list include; Dennis Itumbi who was given a role as the CAS in the ICT Ministry headed by Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo, Isaac Mwaura was also given a role as CAS in the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi
Millicent Omanga was picked in the Ministry of Interior headed by CS Kithure Kindiki, Benjamin Washiali and Nicholas Gumbo in the Ministry of Transport, Kimani Ngunjiri in Lands and Evans Kidero in the Ministry of Trade and Investment.
Last but not least,Former Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru will work with CS Alfred Mutua in the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.
The above names are expected to be approved by the National Assembly.
