Kikuyu member of parliament, Kimani Ichungwah addresses Ruto’s secret meeting with Raila.
The kenya kwanza die hard stated that Ruto. never reached to Raila through the phone, prior to the truce.
Ichungwah stated,”I can confirm that Ruto has not met with Raila Odinga. He has not even spoken with Raila, leave alone the handshake,” he claimed, in what analysts argued may be Ichung’wah’s move to stay entrenched in the precincts of power and assure Ruto of his loyalty.”
He further clarified that the bipartisan approach that was mentioned by the president, is nowhere close to the handshake that people are anticipating.
He reminded Kenyans that president Ruto made it clear from the beginning, he will not accept a handshake; the country should have an executive and opposition that will oversight the work.
He stated,”A bipartisan approach is an approach that looks at the country’s interest over and above the partisan interest because I may have my interests as the Kenya Kwanza side while Azimio has theirs.”
“It has absolutely nothing to do with a handshake. I can see that some quarters are very happy with a handshake,” he added.
The lawmaker was responding to reports that Ruto held a secret meeting with Raila on Sunday, April 2, based on the fact that the two was not seen in public in the better part of Sunday and did not run activities such as going to church like they usually do.
Notably, fake photos went round indicating that the two( Ruto and Raila) were together.
