The opposition coalition, Azimio announces return of public barazas amidst bipartisan dialogues.
The Raila led coalition outlined that they will hold two meetings in the coming days to update the people on the course of action following the suspension of demonstrations.
Oparanya stated,”We will hold the first town hall meeting in Nairobi on Thursday, April 13 to be followed by a people’s Baraza at the Kamukunji grounds on Sunday, April 16,2023.”
The coalition however, highlighted their commitment to the bipartisan talks that were called by President Ruto.
They stated,”come to the table with clean hands, unclenched fists and a commitment to an honest and transparent process.
The Baraza announcement came at a time when Azimio is questioning the legitimacy of the bipartisan talks. This comes after nomination of Lawmaker Keynan who is a jubilee members.
Wandayi expressed,”We are totally surprised and stunned by the fact that they have appointed Hon Adan Keynan who is a member of the Azimio la Umoja Coalition.”
“The lack of seriousness of the by-partisan deliberation on the KK part is the straw that broke the camel’s back! We are back to the people,” he added.
