They will all pay for the rest of their lives- Kindiki on religion deception.
Interior cabinet secretary, Kithure Kindiki has swore that justice will be served on Preacher Mackenzie’s case including everyone who assisted him.
Kithure toured the 800-acre land on Tuesday to assess the situation, he highlighted that pastor Paul Mackenzie of Good News International Church, who is being treated as the main suspect, will face the law.
Kindiki stated that the preachers are using the bible to lie and brainwash innocent Kenyans who are gullible.
He stated,@Purported use of the Bible that leads to the massacre of innocent people cannot be tolerated anywhere in the world. We are now following leads, and we will do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of the matter to establish what really happened.”
“The government will do what it takes to convict Mackenzie and all those who helped him commit the crimes. They will all pay, and do not expect him to be out of jail for the rest of his life,” he added.
Kindiki equated the Shakahola massacre to a genocide and they will use that to charge the controversial Preacher Mackenzie with terrorism.
Kindiki stated,”Over and above, a terrorism case can be built to charge Mackenzie and his collaborators. They can also be charged with the crime of genocide under international convention.”
He further expressed that this is a wake up call to the government, on how it will deal with religious extremists.
He stated,”“I’m convinced what has happened in Shakahola is a turning point to how we will be dealing with religious and violent extremism. I want to assure Kenyans that nothing of this sort will happen again.”
