Expect high cost of living especially in rural areas where majority of Kenyans rely on kerosene for lighting and cooking. Kitawaramba sana hii serikali ya Nabii Zakayo. Jayden warned y’all.”
Government critic expressed,”The prices of Sugar have increased by Kshs 60, as if that is not enough, the prices of Kerosene have increased by KES 15.19 commodities which many hustlers use. When President Ruto asks for time, is it for suppressing the already suffering Kenyans?”
K47 News stated,” If only President Ruto would have sought advice from Governor Nassir how he is managing Mombasa despite delay in county money disbursement, he could have developed the country without letting Hustlers who mostly uses kerosene to pay KES 15.19.”
Melly expressed,” They could have even added kshs 70.15 instead of KES 15.19 then reduce the cost of Super Petrol because who even uses Kerosene now days?”
A tweep wrote,”kerosene a commodity which many low income earners use has to be increased by KES 15.19. We also expect the fare to increase since diesel & super petrol have gone up, electricity is crazily high. Why is President Ruto being inhumane?”
Muli expressed,”Price of a litre of kerosene increases by KES 15.19, super petrol by KES 3.40, diesel by KES 6:40: EPRA. Subsidizing production? Uhuru Kenyatta’s fuel subsidies stabilized fuel prices and cost of goods. Additional 8% VAT in budget bill it will go past kshs. 200 per litre.”
