Uproar and protest from pupils and teachers as CS Machogu transfers headteacher.
An uproar and protest from pupils and teachers was witnessed today at Narok, ilmashariani primary school after their headteacher was transferred.
They argued that the teachers service commission, made an ill-informed decision to transfer the headteacher, since he has led to the growth of the school since time memorial.
In a rampage that was witnessed by the media, the school argued that learning will not resume unless the teachers service commission, takes back the decision.
One of the parents lamented,”was in the house when I heard disruption in the school, as a parent I rushed to determine what was the issue only to learn that the headteachers were transferred.”
“The headteacher did her best here, she has helped our children and has started a secondary school. Who will finish her projects? another posed.
Naeku, The parents teachers Association chairperson, argued that the headteacher meant the school well, citing the many projects and improvements she has accomplished.
Naeka expressed,”We ask the Ministry to bring back the headteacher. She has transformed this school from 300 students to about 2000.”
“If it was possible we would call for her promotion due to the good work she has done for us. The government should let her continue working for this school,” naeku added.
The parents further detailed that they won’t allow the ministry to bring in a school head who was rejected at the previous school.
They stated,”We will not allow a headteacher who was rejected in the previous school to come to lead our children.”
