We are working closely to extend our emergency medical care to preventive- President Ruto.
Speaking during the 93rd Annual Inspection Parade of the St. John Ambulance, State House, Nairobi, President Ruto highlighted that government’s effort to shift to Preventive health care.
Preventive health care will entail awareness of a disease before it becomes a community disaster.
This he said will be made possible soon enough, because the government is in the works with a number of partners who will help them reach their goal.
He stated,”We are working closely with partners like the St. John Ambulance to extend our emergency medical care to preventive. The timely diagnosis of illnesses before complications develop will guarantee us quick recovery, improve overall health and reduce health care costs in the country.”
Additionally, Speaking at the inauguration of the Kenya Health Human Resource Advisory Council that seeks to accelerate the realisation of Universal Health Coverage, The commander in chief outlined that Kenya kwanza’s greatest ambition is universal and affordable health care.
He stated,”Our ambition is affordable and quality Universal Health Coverage. We are supporting county governments by providing modern equipment to help them deliver a high standard of healthcare for all.”
Present was Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, Health Cabinet Secretary, Susan Nakhucha, Kirinyaga Governor and Chair of the Council of Governors Anne Waiguru.
This comes after president Ruto also held discussions about deepening of our country’s primary healthcare with Melinda gates, a philanthropist, businesswoman and co-chair of the Gates Foundation.
