Kabunde Airstrip breaks silence after allegations of its aircraft causing an accident during landing.
In a trending photo all over social media, the lower wing of the airplane is seen stained with blood.
Netizens pointed fingers towards Kabunde Airstrip stating that the air plane had hit a cow while it was landing.
However, Kabunde Airstrip breaks silence; They refuted Claims, saying that no accident happened when their airplane was landing. The photo circulating is from a carribean airstrip.
They stated,”We would like to clarify that the information of our plane hitting a cow at Kabunde Airstrip is completely false and misleading. The images circulating is of an incident involving an ATR72-600 in Trinidad and Tobago.”
The airstrip outlined that they are safe and reliable. The news are just being used to turnish the good name, the airstrip is building.
They stated,”Kabunde Airstrip is safe and secure, and we look forward to welcoming you aboard our aircraft.”
On her end, Homa bay Count Governor, Gladys Wanga assured that the photo going round was just misleading news.
She stated,”This is the correct position. Ignore fake news doing the rounds with reckless abandon, there was no incident at Kabunde Airstrip today.”
This comes days after the roads and transport Cabinet secretary flagged off the annual renegade air flight.
He stated,”Had the pleasure of flagging off the inaugural Renegade Air flight that will operate from Wilson Airport to Kabunde airstrip in Homabay County. The launch of this new route is a great milestone for the transport sector as it will create employment, improve connectivity, enhance trade and promote tourism in the region.”
