Kazi majuu App for Kenyans seeking to work abroad.
Speaking during the launch of the Government digitized services at Kenyatta International Convention centre, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary, Alfred Mutua, on Friday, June 30th stated that Kazi majuu App for Kenyans seeking work abroad is now in place.
He explained that this App will help protect all Kenyans who have fallen victim of scam agencies and in turn lost a lot of money.
The App is expected to secure jobs abroad and also monitor and facilitate Citizens’ remittances from abroad.
Alfred Mutua explained,“We will be posting a lot of opportunities from all over the world. The app will connect you to agents in Kenya and other countries. However, you will also undertake a skills assessment test and also be cleared with immigration.”
As of now, The ministry of foreign affair has deployed agents worldwide in a proactive plan to scout job opportunities that will interest Kenyans by December 2023 when the ministry finalises the platform and other labour agreements.
Mutua stated,”We are trying to get bilateral labour agreements with as many countries as possible. We have managed to secure quite a number.”
“We are also doing a bit of training since we are competing with other skilled workers from other nations and we are working to ensure Kenyans get the best deal through these agreements,” he added.
The government announced that they will give job opportunities while targeting to employ 250,000 individuals through various partnerships.
