A section of Kenya kwanza allies have sworn to appeal the suspension of Finance Act 2023. The leaders cited that the suspension will hinder their implementation of development, as they promised citizens during the campaign period.

Kiambu County senator, stood his ground saying that in as much as he has regard for the court, suspending the finance Act was a wrong move.
He stated,”We should always respect the courts regardless of the decisions they make but we will fight the suspension and I am sure the government will be able to continue with its work.”
On his part, Kiharu member of parliament, Ndindi Nyoro stated that tomorrow first thing, he will appeal the decision of the court. He cited that the Finance Act will prevent the country from sinking into more debt.
He stated,”We will go to court tomorrow to request that the suspension is removed. Some of the things we want to achieve are to raise the economy to prosperity. We did not campaign to be elected so we could sink the country deeper into debt.”
“Let the court look at the public good and interest. If you stop implementation of the bill, it is Kenyans who will suffer,” he added.
