No demonstration is going to take place next week- Ruto reiterates.
Speaking at the launch of Njabini- Naivasha Road in Nakuru County, The head of state, William Ruto issued a warning to Raila Odinga saying he must stop the protests immediately.
The president outlined that he will not allow the opposition leader to get into state house, by using the blood of innocent Kenyans.
He further warned on Raila’s tendency, to use intimidation, to get whatever he wants which includes power.
He stated,”Raila Odinga, I won’t allow you to seek power on the back of the blood of Kenyans. I will stop you, You can’t use extra-constitutional means to get power. You want to use violence to get into government; it won’t happen.”
“No demonstration is going to take place on Wednesday. It is not possible, this man (Raila Odinga)has brought chaos to this country which has led to many deaths. He kept on interfering with Mwai Kibaki’s administration, Uhuru Kenyatta’s and now the other day he led protests and properties were destroyed,”he added.
The commander in chief stood his ground saying Raila will not prosper in his mission for demonstrations and violent attacks.
He stated,”That path that you are taking, I want to assure you that I am going to take you on and I will not allow it to happen.”
His remarks came moments after Azimio la umoja coalition announced that starting next week, protests will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
