President Ruto opens Chogoria water supply; In a statement, The head of stated outlined that the project will serve more than 160,000 people.
He stated that functional water supply is essential as a way of improving sanitation and the quality of life.
He stated,”Opened the Chogoria Water Supply Project in Chogoria, Tharaka Nithi County, that will serve more than 160,000 people in the region. Reliable water supply and functional sanitation are essential for our towns to be livable, enables investment and improves the quality of life across the country.”
Further, The president Issued 10,000 title deeds to the people of Ciampiu in Mwingi North, Kitui County where he was joined by Zacharia Njeru (Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development), Peninah Malonza (Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage) and Kitui Governor Julius Malombe were present.
The president stated,”This move, in the long-run, will cement the agricultural sector’s role as an engine of growth, poverty reduction and job creation in our country.”
Notably, the commander in chief, held the Kenya-Saudi Arabia business delegation meeting at State House, Led by the Saudi Arabia Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih.
He stated,”The Government is deliberately building a conducive environment that not only incentivises foreign investments but also enables enterprises to grow. We will routinely work with the private sector to refine our business policy to make it more facilitative for investors to operate in the country.”
