KUCCPS opens application for 13000 teaching opportunities; Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced that interested individuals will fill 13,439 slots in the Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) and Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) programs.
The slots in the DPTE programme include 11,358 while 2,081 admission vacant positions are available in the DECTE course.
Requirements
Minimum grade of C plain in the Kenya certificate of secondary education.
Note; There will be no additional subject requirements
Machogu stated,”For the second year, the placement of trainees to the 32 public teacher training colleges will be handled by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), which has opened its online portal for the application.”
The teachers service commission CEO, Wahome who was at the same function, stated the dealine for application is on the 28th of July.
She stated,”This opportunity is for qualified KCSE certificate holders including non-Kenyan citizens who sat the exam in 2022 or earlier until the year 2000.”
Application process
Applicants are required to log in at students.kuccps.net
Log in using the KCSE index number, KCSE year and password.
On the placement portal, click on the Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) programmes tab.
Choose between DPTE or DECTE application. A pop up list of 32 certified training colleges will appear indicating the programme code and cost for the first year.
Only the code is needed for the application.
Once done click “Apply Now.”
