Breaking news: Gaza to be put under total blockade.
Israel’s defence minister has stated that Gaza Strip is to go under “total blockade”, including a ban on admitting food and fuel.
The instense bombing has so far displaced more than 120,000 people in the besieged Palestinian enclave.
According to local news, Israeli army consisting of 100,000 reserve troops have amassed near Gaza, where Palestinian fighters are said to be holding 130 people captive.
At the moment, the death toll stands at 493 palestinians and more than 700 Israelis.
According to Al jazeera, Israeli air strikes have targeted the Jabalia camp, one of the most crowded camps in Gaza, and left more than 50 people dead.
Notably, The military wing of Hamas, the al-Qassam Brigades, says four Israeli soldiers it had captured were killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Germany’s Development Minister Svenja Schulze said no payments were currently being made on matters war.
She stated,”I would not at this point use the word freezing, as we are in the middle of a war. The formulation does not correspond to the situation on the ground.”
On recruitment, It is reported that Israel has called up 300,00 reservists.
Local reporters stated,”Many people here in Israel served in the military as part of their national service during their late teens and early 20s. Those called up remain in that reserve corps to serve in what may be a very significant conflict in the days ahead.”
