KPLC warns against El nino related Electrical Hazards; Issues 4 advisories.
The Kenya power and lighting Company, has urged consumers to stay safe, amid Increased rains from this month to December.
Kenyans were warned to avoid contact with trees or branches touching or falling near power lines.

The notice read,”Advise children not to play near power lines or transformers. Avoid contact with any fallen electricity supply lines, poles, or exposed underground power cables. Avoid contact with trees or branches touching or falling on power lines.”
The utility also urged anyone who wishes to cut down trees that are near the power lines, to refrain from doing so, but if homeowners want to cut down their trees, they should seek advice from the utility firm before carrying out the exercise.
Notably, Kenya Power provided phone numbers; 97771 or 0703070707. That one can use to reach them incase of any electricity related hazard.
