Call centers where Kenyans can report Government Officers- CS Kuria Announces.
Speaking during the unveiling of the NYS Re-engineering programme at the NYS headquarters in Ruaraka, Nairobi County, Public service cabinet secretary, Moses Kuria revealed that he will open call centers
According to Moses Kuria, The call centers is part of his strategy to ensure Ministries, Departments and agencies meet their requirements objectives as required by the government of Kenya.
For instance, The cabinet secretary highlighted that the centers will be available to motorists to allow them to report police officers who collect bribes on the roads.
Notably, The cabinet secretary also stated that Kenyans can complain about electricity connection by Kenya power, or anything else that bothers them and the government will streamline.
The call center will be located at the National youth service( NYS) headquarters, where it will be handled by officers from the paramilitary unit.
CS Kuria stated,” I am going to have a big office and call centre to analyse those complaints and it will be here at NYS. I will come here every morning to see where there are complaints. The servicemen will monitor it. I am going to give Kenyans a chance to say what they think of us.”
On matters NYS, CS Kuria stated that the courage, resilience and the determination of our youths at the National Youth Service is just admirable.
The CS outlined that he will move a proposal to the legislation, where being an NYS trainee, will be a requirement for all disciplined forces including the National Police Service (NYS) and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) among others.
“We have agreed with the Inspector General of Police that the next intake of 3,000 officers will be recruited from NYS. We have also talked with Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) and 1,500 recruits will be from NYS,”he added.
