Kenya and Germany celebrate 60 yrs of Diplomatic Relations; More opportunities for Kenyans
Speaking during a working lunch with the Minister of State for European and International Affairs of Bavaria, Ms Melanie Huml in Munich, Germany, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua revealed that Kenya and Germany are celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations.
DP Gachagua stated,”This year, Kenya and Germany are celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations, which have propelled the European Country to be the second development partner in the socio-economic transformation of our Nation.”
He stated that they had a fruitful engagement and Kenya kwanza Looks forward to joint implementation of the action points for sustainable development.
DP Gachagua stated,”In line with Bavaria’s Strategy for Africa, our discussions focused on cooperation in various sectors particularly, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Tourism, Labour Migration, Sports Development, Education and Exchange Programmes, among others. All these directly feed to the realisation of the State’s Strategy for Africa on Business, Vocational Training, Education, Science, Agriculture, Environment, and Public Administration.”
DP Gachagua further highlighted that on behalf of President, H.E Dr William Ruto, he extended gratitude to Bavaria for adopting Kenya into the State’s Strategy for Africa, and pledge unwavering support as we enhance the existing cooperation.
He further thanked the People of Bavaria and the wonderful host, His Worship Michael Worle, the Mayor of Gersthofen, for the warm welcome and stay.
