Colonial Masters died long ago, let’s move on- Khalwale to critics on King Charles’ visit.
The senate Majority whip, has opined that Kenyans colonialism ended with the death of the pioneers which necessitates our need to move on from what happened long ago.
He encouraged everyone to focus on the present especially the opportunities that will befall Kenyans’ feet during King Charles’ visit to Kenya.
He stated,”Dear Kenyans, colonial masters died a long time ago. I don’t think visiting their sins on their descendants in perpetuity is engenius or strategic.
”We must move on and seize the opportunities available in establishing partnerships with them for business, investment, education, regional stability, and, of course, global peace,” he added.
Khalwale was responding to an article, that pointed towards tension being built in Kenya, with King Charles’ visit.
King Charles III landed in Kenya this morning, accompanied by the queen. President Ruto highlighted that Kenya-UK historic ties have grown steadily, deeper and stronger, enabling the two countries to achieve stable progress in trade and investments.
