There is no single genuine KCSE paper online- KNEC.
Speaking during the distribution of KCSE papers on November 13th, KNEC chief executive officer, David Njegere, warned candidates and parents not to be tricked into buying any KCSE papers online.
He stated,”What they do is collude with someone, look for an image of the paper being done then try to share it on social media. I can assure you with absolute confidence there is no single genuine paper that can circulate on social media platforms.”
The Chief executive officer explained that double collection of morning and afternoon papers has helped in limiting early exposure of the second session papers.
Usually, The morning paper is collected at 7 am and administered to candidates between 8 am and 10 am, the scripts are then returned to the container.
The center managers will then collect the second session papers at 12.30 pm and it is administered from 2 pm.
“The rules are clear. These are national examinations meaning rules apply the same to all candidates,” Njengere added.
So far, only been 46 cases of candidates have been caught involving themselves in various cases of malpractices.
This comes after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that they handled 68 cases of exam malpractice during last year’s KCSE exams.
About 47 cases involved the use of mobile phones, 12 involved use of written materials and one case entailed a student impersonation.
44 of them were pending investigation, 17 are supposed to appear in court and the other six were already concluded.
