Another Kisii KCSE scandal as Four Exam supervisors arrested.
Yet Another Kisii KCSE scandal as the 2023 secondary examination nears its end , Four Exam supervisors are currently in custody.
The four include an exam centre manager, a supervisor and two invigilators from Bombaba Secondary School in Gucha, Kisii County were arrested on Wednesday over exam malpractice.
In a report from the Kisii County Commander Charles Kases, the four were put under custody after a bunch of papers containing Geography Paper 2 answers were found within the exam centre by Kenya national examinations council officials.
The four teachers namely; Edwin Mokaya( centre Manager) Supervisor Gideon Omondi and invigilators Joseph Nyaosi and Ezekiel Nyambane are being held at Kisii’s Ogembo Police Station and will be arraigned today( Thursday) at court
The Commander highlighted that investigations on the same have begun to ascertain how the illegal exam answer sheet was found within the school grounds, which is against the exam rules.
This comes weeks after a school from the neighboring Nyamira county( Nyambaria school) had their principal suspended from his role as the exam center manager.
Reports indicated that the Principal had been taken to Nyamira Police Station to provide a statement in connection with examination materials discovered in the exam centre.
In 2022, The school attracted widespread attention when it achieved the top position in the KCSE examination with an impressive mean score of 10.89.
Notably, two other school principals in Nyamira County were also suspended due to exam irregularities.
