President Ruto’s move to give Christmas food to residents ignites debate: Yesterday, The head of state, interacted with residents in his home at Uasin Gishu, where he gave them christmas food.
President Ruto stated,”With First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto, governors Sakaja Johnson (Nairobi) and Jonathan Bii (Uasin Gishu), several MPs and MCAs shared Christmas gifts with our neighbors in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County.”
However, this move has ignited a debate on the socials.
Statehouse spokesperson Hussein wrote,” President William Ruto today sharing with his neighbors in Sugoi during this festive season. Unbelievable how some (whose sport is to find fault at everything as the President said) would criticize sharing with the people,”
”If you’re against sharing with your neighbors and humanity, you might want to check if your heart’s still beating. Being mean is a bad thing, but it’s even worse to campaign against sharing with humanity,” he added.
Abuga stated,”Kalenjins understand the task President William Ruto is handling on matters stabilisation of the country. They have given him ample time to resuscitate the economy. We are always misled by elites who talk in these streets endlessly without having touch with the people.
Kijana ya baba expressed,”Those who were in their farms as Azimio supporters were on the streets are actually the ones lining up at 4 am to receive handouts from president William Ruto.”
The government critic wrote,”Ruto overtaxed and impoverished many just to get enough money to feed his Kalenjins in his home yard Sugoi.”
Conrade wrote,” Kalenjins told us that they were busy in their farms planting maize as we were on streets with sufurias on our heads. Why did they do all that to only wake up at 2 AM to line up for handouts? Buana it can never be us.”
