Let’s not make any excuses for the Kenya Kwanza’s failures and missed opportunities- Miguna laments on Gov’t failures.
Let’s not make any excuses for Kenya Kwanza’s failures: In a statement Miguna highlighted that new governments are suppposed to protect its people but Kenya kwanza has done the opposite.
He stated,”New governments are supposed to engender confidence in the people by being transparent, accountable and sensitive to the people’s needs and aspirations. The Kenya Kwanza government hasn’t done this. It’s supposed to give the people hope by addressing their most intractable problems in the first 100 days. This has also not been done,”
“If the administration wastes the first 100 days by appointing incompetent, corrupt and those tribally affiliated to those at the apex, the majority of the people will lose hope and see only more of the past 60 years of retrogression, tribalism and corruption as the most probable outcome in the next 4 years,” he added.
He further outlined that the worst move the government did was to employ people based on tribal lines.
Miguna stated,”One of the worst failures of the KK government is its penchant for appointing DEAD WOODS whose only qualifications are TRIBE and SYCOPHANCY. That’s a tragic failure. No sensible person expects Koome (IG), the head of DCI, DPP and EACC to transform Kenya’s DEAD law enforcement and justice institutions,”
“Failure to quickly apprehend, try and jail architects of impunity who are well known by even children and peasants in our villages will make the people distrust the new administration without any chance of regaining that confidence no matter what might be done afterwards Most Kenyans have rejected the EXCUSES being peddled as the basis for the refusal to charge, try and jail culprits- and recover all the looted public wealth,” he added.
Notably, Miguna highlighted that the government could have restored public wealth in a bid to develop the country.
He stated,”The refusal to repatriate and restore trillions of shillings of plundered public wealth and use it to create jobs, build infrastructure, industrialize, pay off debt and eradicate poverty will make the people (especially those who voted for the administration) to stop supporting those in power and to start mobilizing for the next phase of the struggle.”
He added:The KK manifesto and promises were not for one person or a small group. They were supposed to be for the wellbeing of 50 million Kenyans. We want to start seeing a focus on 50 million Kenyans; not a clique from one village, school or tribe.”
