Governor Mwangaza finally breaks silence, Addresses family involvement in Sniper’s murder: Speaking at a church service on Sunday, Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza refuted claims that the family is involved in the mysterious murder of Daniel Muthiani alias Sniper.
The governor highlighted that this is yet another barrier put ahead of her by his perpetrators, as they seek to remove her from office.
On matters investigations, she called upon the officers in charge of the case, to conduct their investigations diligently, without being coerced or biased in any way.
She stated,”They have tried impeachment, destroying our reputation, court cases, attempts on our lives and failed, now they have come up with this. Those reporting on things they don’t know, some have said my son was arrested. All my children are in church today,”
“ We want the investigations to be open. We don’t live in a banana country, we live in a country governed by laws. Do not be biased, don’t be used politically by those whom we defeated in the election whom we know and shall mention. If you were defeated in the election, take a rest. If you want to be governor, let us meet in 2027,” she added.
This comes a day after DCI arrested another suspect by the name Brian Mwenda. led by Director Martin Nyuguto, raided the home of a suspect who is believed to be a boda boda rider on the outskirts of Gachanka Village, Ntima East division in North Imenti constituency.
The suspect is in custody and will be arraigned at the Kiambu Law Courts Today, Monday 8th 2023.
