Sad as Matinyani Sec Students are yet to receive their results: Students who sat for Kenya Certificate of secondary Education at Matinyani Secondary in Kitui are yet to receive their results.

The Kenya national examination council (KNEC) portal has been displaying  only letter “W” Which has caused fear among the candidates who were looking forward to know their fate yesterday.

Letter “W” denotes that the candidate’s examination result have been withheld on suspicion that the candidate have been involved in an examination malpractice.

Last year, Matinyani secondary school which is found in Kitui County, was on top of the list among the Eastern region schools, scoring a whooping mean of 9.942.

In a total of 240 candidates, The school had 0 A plains, 35 A-, 156 B+ and 49 B plains.

KNEC has not however, issued an official statement as to why the students are yet to receive their results, despite the questions raised.
